Samara
Overview
This amazing little beach town has a relaxed atmosphere and great selection of restaurants. The water in Samara is calm with small waves. This makes it perfect for beginner and intermediate surfers as well for families to play in. The beach restaurants offer everything from sunbeds to fine dining and beach volleyball. And we can recommend you a visit in Gusto Beach Bar with great Italian food and drinks.
The wildlife in and around Samara is amazing and don’t be surprised if a family of howler monkeys or parrots is sitting in the palm trees in your hotel. And if you get out on the ocean you can see dolphins, manta rays, and sea turtles most of the year. During November to March you can see humpback whales on their migration routes through Costa Rica.
The fishing is amazing outside Samara. You can go offshore for the really big ones like marlin, sailfish, mahi-mahi, and yellowfin tuna. Inshore you have good fishing for roosterfish, snapper, grouper, and jack. Contact us and we will set you up with the best captains and their boats depending what you want to fish.
