Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Costa Rica!
Upon arrival to Costa Rica’s capital San Jose your hotel’s shuttle service will pick you up at the airport. After your check-in you have the remainder of the day to use all the hotel’s facilities or go out to the city for shopping and/or a meal. If you arrive early in the morning you will also have the option to book an additional tour during the afternoon to your liking.
Day 2
Transportation to Manuel Antonio (crocodiles might be spotted)
After you have enjoyed the delicious breakfast at the hotel and finished your check-out your shuttle will pick you up outside the entrance of the hotel and take you down to the beautiful beach town of Manuel Antonio. The scenery of this trip is beautiful and you will pass the famous Rio Tarcoles where the crocodiles can be seen from the bridge. When you have checked in at your hotel you will have the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the beach or the national park located just a few minutes from your hotel.
Day 3
Manuel Antonio National Park
This is a great day to go visit Manuel Antonio’s gem, the national park. This national park offers many different trails that you can explore on your own or hire the services of a licensed guide who will be waiting by the entrance. Make sure you bring your bathing suit as the national park offers a couple of stunning beaches besides the rich amount of animal species such as monkeys, iguanas, birds, and a lot more.
Day 4
Shuttle to Uvita
Today you will be picked up at your hotel by your shuttle that will take you to Uvita, the home of the Humpback whales. You will be staying at the amazing hotel Oxygen, and this will be a great time for relaxation and experiences. You will have the whole afternoon to enjoy the hotel’s facilities and if you get restless you can always go visit the neighboring town of Dominical. If you feel a little bit tired you can enjoy a great meal at the Oxygen restaurant.
Day 5
whale and dolphin watching tour
You are in for a real treat today as today is the day when you get to go on the whale and dolphin watching tour. This is one of the greatest Costa Rican highlights to experience! If you are lucky today you’ll get to see the majestic Humpback whales jump and play with their children and many playful dolphins in the ocean. Make sure to bring your bathing suit as you will get the opportunity to jump in the ocean as well.
Day 6
Transportation to Drake bay & Corcovado
After our whale and dolphin watching experience it’s time to continue our adventure to Drake Bay and the amazing national park of Corcovado. Your shuttle will drive you down and the lodge’s staff will receive you and help you with the check-in. During your stay at the lodge all meals are included and you get to combine guided tours in nature with relaxing days in the sun. If you get restless there are more tours to add to your itinerary than the 3 that are included.
Day 7-9
3 Included tours (Mangroove Island, Horseback riding, Canopy, kayaking)
These 3 days will be filled with the 3 included tours such as the guided tour to the Corcovado national park, Caño Island and the third tour to your preference. You can choose from the following tours: Mangrove Island, horseback riding, Rio Claro, Kayaking, a butterfly farm, or canopy tour. If you like sportfishing you can add this tour as well to your liking when staying in Drake Bay. This is an adventure of a lifetime!
Day 10
Transport & San Jose Stay
When you have enjoyed your final breakfast in Drake Bay the lodge´s staff will take you to the airport for your domestic flight to San Jose. If you prefer you can change your flight to a shuttle transportation. Upon arrival in San Jose the hotel’s shuttle will take you to the hotel for check-in. After check-in your afternoon is unscheduled so you can enjoy the hotel or go to the city and be cultural or do some final shopping.
Day 11
Back Home ❤️
The big breakfast buffet and a great cup of coffee will be a nice ending to your stay in San Jose as you check-out and the shuttle will take you to the airport. We hope you have had a great stay in Costa Rica this time and we are really hoping to see you here again soon. You are welcome back!
