Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Costa Rica
Your private transfer picks you up at the airport in either Liberia or San Jose and takes you to Arenal Volcano and Tabacon Resort and Spa. Here you get free access to relax in the hotel's amazing hot springs with the majestic Arenal Volcano in the background.
Day 2
Horseback riding to La Fortuna Waterfalls
After you had your complimentary breakfast, you head out on your first adventure for this trip, horseback riding through the rainforest before leaving the horses for a small hike down to the beautiful waterfall, La Fortuna. To have a swim in the lagoon’s crystal clear water all surrounded by the green walls of the rainforest is just beautiful. Back at the hotel, it's going to feel great to get your included Holistic Wellness Treatments in the spa.
Day 3
Relax in the Hot-Springs
Today you have a full day where you can explore La Fortuna Town and the surrounding areas. And of course, relax in Shangri-La Gardens, the adults-only part of the hot springs where you can find all your inner peace in the mineral springs!
Day 4
Transportation to Papagayo
Your private transfer takes you from the rainforest to the Papagayo beaches in Guanacaste. You are going to stay in a Crown suite at the stunning beachfront hotel El Mangroove. This modern luxury hotel pool is facing the ocean with the beach just steps away.
Day 5
Adventure Day
After breakfast you’re going on a half-day tour that starts with you traveling the forest on a zipline canopy trail. This is a perfect way to have fun and see the rivers and forests from above. After the zipline you jump in the riverboat and start slowly floating down the river. This is one of the best ways to see animals and birds here when you soundlessly go floating on the river. The whole day is with your local guide that takes care of you, and of course, keeps both you and all the equipment safe.
Day 6
Sunset Cruise
In the afternoon your private 28” center console boat picks you up for a three-hour sunset cruise in Papagayo Bay. Do a stop-and-go for a snorkel trip in the warm water. Sip on a local beer or a Mojito when you slowly cruise the water looking for dolphins while the sun sets in the ocean.
Day 7
Transfer to Punta islita
Today your private transfer takes you down the coast to the amazing hotel Punta Islita. This hotel is located up on the hill with a stunning ocean view. Only a short walk through the garden and you're on the beach. But don't worry, here you have both a spa and a second pool just in front of the beach. The Junior Suites have a private deck with outdoor whirlpool and ocean view.
Day 8
Relax & Enjoy
Just relax and enjoy this amazing hotel pool, spa, and beach.
Day 9
Scarlet Macaws Tour
To put the finishing touch on this trip, you’re going to get to see the great scarlet macaws. These big, colorful birds are native to Costa Rica, and today you’re going to go to the macaw rescue center where they help 100+ of these beautiful birds to return to nature. You will be here at feeding time and the birds will be coming home from their daily fly trip all in the wild to get some food. You will be there to see it happen.
Day 10
Transfer Back Home
After your breakfast your private transfer takes you back to the airport and it's time to say goodbye to Costa Rica for this time. See you again soon!
