Day 1
Welcome to Costa Rica
When you arrive at the airport you will be picked up by the hotel’s shuttle service. After you have checked in you can enjoy one of the hotel’s restaurants, pool area, spa, or why not have a tropical drink in one of the bars? If you arrive early you can go to San Jose center to discover the country’s capital or visit the more luxurious areas of Escazu or Santa Ana for a meal or shopping.
Day 2
Bus & Boat transportation
We start this day early in the morning and there is time for a delicious buffet breakfast before the lodge’s transportation picks us up. The transportation will be in a modern tourist bus and we will pass some beautiful nature and banana plantations. The last part of the transportation will be on boat for about 45 minutes on the river delta until we arrive at the hotel. After the check-in we will do our first tour which is a visit to Tortuguero town where we get to interact with the locals and visit the Caribbean Sea.
Day 3
Exciting River Boat Tour & Lunch
This day starts early as well as we join our guide to go on a river boat tour where we can see a large number of animals such as crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas, many different species of birds, and if we are lucky, sloths too. After our exciting river boat tour, we get to relax for a while and enjoy our lunch. After lunch we will once again join up with our guide and go for a rainforest hike to see more nature and animals.
Day 4
Transportation to Caribbean Puerto Viejo
As this day begins we enjoy our breakfast before we check-out and start our next part of our journey towards Puerto Viejo and its amazing beaches. This transportation itself will show us much beautiful scenery and if we are lucky we get to see more wild animals before we enter the town of Puerto Viejo. You will have the afternoon to enjoy the hotel or the beach before enjoying a delicious dinner to your liking at the hotel or in town.
Day 5-6
Relax & Enjoy
These days are unscheduled and you can make up your plans as you go. The hotel has a great pool area and a beach club right in front of the hotel. You can spend your days here tanning, swimming and sipping on tropical drinks. If you are looking to discover more beaches these are the days to go visit Punta Uva and Playa Manzanillo. These days are also available to book more tours with us or discover the area on your own.
Day 7
Exploring the Downtown
On your last day in Puerto Viejo you can decide if you want to leave early in the morning or in the afternoon to head back to the capital San Jose. While back in San Jose you get the remainder of the day to enjoy the hotel’s amenities or visit the city downtown to be cultural, go shopping, and enjoy a nice meal. The choice is always yours!
Day 8
Welcome back!
Today your hotel shuttle will take you to the airport and this will be goodbye for this time. We hope to see you back in Costa Rica soon. You are always welcome back!
