Sky tram Monteverde

When in Monteverde there are many ways to explore and discover the cloud forest. The cloud forest is located 4 724 ft (1440 m) above sea level. It’s a beautiful setting with a very fresh climate. Sky tram Monteverde offers different options to get to know the area better. If you are looking for a less physical way to get a stunning view over the cloud forest the Sky Aerial Tram is a great option for you.
The gondolier tram will take you to the highest mountain in Monteverde and on the way up and down the mountain you will have spectacular views of the forest and fauna. When we get to the top we will jump off and stay and have great views and photo options from a wide observation platform before we descend.

Another exciting way to discover the cloud forest at Sky tram Monteverde is by going on a zipline tour at the parks Sky Trek. This is an adrenaline-fueled activity as you whiz between the platforms on the strong wires. You fly safely over the treetops and have a great adventure and great views. To get to the beginning of the course you travel up with the open-air gondola and from there you get on your lines and start travelling down the mountain. The cables stretch from mountain to mountain, between canyons, into the forest, and sometimes through the clouds. There is an automated braking system so you don´t have to break yourself and put your hand on the line. This is an adrenaline experience like no other!

If you want to discover this beautiful place without the adrenaline experience we strongly recommend the suspension bridges of the park or sky walk hanging bridges as they are called here. These are the first hanging bridges of Costa Rica and our naturalist guide will take you on an interesting walk and let you know all about the area’s flora and fauna. These massive hanging bridges are connected to a beautiful trail that leads us through this dense and magical forest.

As a final treat the park also offers the first tree climbing park in Costa Rica. It’s a course of 4 trees that varies from 33 ft (10 m) to 66 ft (20 m) and they are of different difficulty levels. The trees are equipped with handhold pieces designed especially for tree climbing attached with straps so there will be no harm to the tree whatsoever. This is also a great fun and safe activity!
