W Reserva Conchal

W Reserva Conchal is one of the most luxurious hotels in Costa Rica. The hotel is part of Marriott Hotels and the location is absolutely amazing as Playa Conchal is one of Costa Rica´s most beautiful beaches. Playa Conchal is located in Guanacaste, which is in the northwest Pacific coast of Costa Rica. It´s only about an hour’s drive from Liberia’s international airport so the transfer time is very short. The hotel’s design is inspired by Costa Rican culture, eco inspiration, and W’s own secret ingredient, W for Wit. The Wet Deck bar is inspired by a classical Costa Rican oxcart wheel and the spa is butterfly metamorphosis-inspired. The rooms are unique with panoramic views over the Pacific Ocean or the lush Reserva Conchal. They are designed with hand-painted indigenous art to surfboard bar tops; the vibrant rooms remix the local.

W Reserva Conchal offers great drinks and food. The Living Room is a bar and lounge where master mixologists make some of the best drinks available. While in the Living Room you can enjoy bocas, which is the Costa Rican version of tapas to build up an appetite before dinner.

A great place to have dinner is at the hotel´s restaurant Latitude 10 Norte. The restaurant is named after its shared latitude with Thailand and you guessed right, this is a Costa Rican – Thai fusion kitchen. Classical Thai dishes are fusioned with classical Costa Rican courses such as snapper chifrijo and Tamarindo pork belly.

The Reserva Conchal has an amazing golf course; it’s a 71-par championship course designed by legendary Robert Trent Jones II. This is a challenging and sporty course with unique elevations, multiple lakes, and impressive fairways. Just as Hacienda Pinilla, this course runs through a tropical forest and has the Pacific Ocean as its backdrop. Some of the characteristics of the course are unique elevations from tee to green, fairways protected by sand traps and lakes, long and uphill par fours and 63 traps placed strategically throughout the 7,021-yard course. This is a great fun course whether you are a beginner or a seasoned golfer.
